RECREATIONAL PROGRAM

The Boise Timbers Thorns Recreational Program is designed for players who want to enjoy the game, build foundational skills, and play in a structured but accessible environment.This program emphasizes age appropriate development, teamwork, and confidence through weekly practices and weekend games. Players are grouped by age, learn the basic principles of the game, and are supported by volunteer coaches within a fun and positive setting.The Recreational Program is not tryout based and does not require prior experience. It is intended for families seeking a well organized soccer experience without the time commitment or competitive demands of the club pathway.For players who show interest in a more competitive environment, the Recreational Program serves as an entry point into the Boise Timbers Thorns system.

TOTS PROGRAM

The Tots Program introduces U3 and U4 players and their parents to soccer in a fun, structured, and age appropriate setting.a

Each session is built around simple play based activities that help children explore movement, coordination, and basic ball skills. Families rotate through stations together, finishing each session with small sided games so players leave having played soccer.

The program runs once a week on Saturday mornings with no weekday practices. Parents are encouraged to participate alongside their child, with sessions led by a trained instructor and supported by volunteers.

The Tots Program is designed to build confidence, enjoyment, and familiarity with the game, creating a positive first experience with soccer.
